Our name

Our mission at Altruik is to help organizations create the most meaningful connections with their customers through the natural search results pages of the search engines. Our name Altruik, an amalgamation of the phrase “All True Clicks,” underscores this mission and our focus on helping our customers to make the invisible visible and to generate "true clicks," the delivery of specific, relevant, high quality content in response to consumer search queries.

Thomas Kwon, Founder & CEO

Tom Kwon, founder of Altruik, Inc., serves as its president and CEO. Kwon’s primary responsibilities include setting the business, technology and operational strategy for the Company, as well as leading the sales and partner acquisition program.

Mr. Kwon is a veteran Web technology executive and a serial entrepreneur who during his 19-year career has founded and led a number of successful Web technology and application ventures. In 1996 Kwon founded DMIND with a mission to help organizations leverage the Web to improve their marketing and business operations. From 1996 to 2002 DMIND developed and implemented more than 700 websites and applications and built one of the industry’s first multilingual content management systems. Prior to DMIND, Kwon co-founded Avon Computing Company, a network integration company. Before Avon Computing, Kwon founded Dynamind, a web technology company that created an education market-specific browser for that provided ancillary information for learning at all grade levels.

Kwon has been involved with the Web since its advent, and his experiences range from connecting every school and library in the state of Connecticut to the Internet to establishing the White House's initial Web presence. He was the finalist for Ernst and Young's Entrepreneurial of the Year Award and recipient of the "50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business" Award.

Tom holds a BA from Northeastern University and an accelerated MBA sponsored by JP Morgan Chase and Marsh McLennan from MIT's Sloan School of Management. Tom serves on the Board of Business for Diplomatic Action and is an advisory member for the American Advertising Federation’s Mosaic Counsel.

Dennis McIntosh, COO

Dennis McIntosh is the COO for Altruik, Inc., where he is responsible for the corporate and financial strategy, and overall operations of the Company. With more than 20 years experience in the financial services and technology sector, McIntosh brings a wealth of financial and business expertise to this position.

Most recently as EVP and CFO at SBLI, McIntosh established financial systems and grew the portfolio to $1.5 billion in assets. Within ten months, he set up a fully operational finance function and dynamic team supporting 200 cost centers and 275 employees in six locations. Prior to SBLI, McIntosh held executive management positions at Ernst and Young, Coopers and Lybrand, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Reed Elsevier Corporation.

Mr. McIntosh holds a BA from Andrews University and an MBA from The University of Connecticut, School of Business. McIntosh is a licensed CPA in the State of Massachusetts and serves on the Board of Dione Systems, Inc.

Michael Hanna, CTO

As the chief technology officer for Altruik, Inc., Michael Hanna is responsible for architecting and developing Altruik’s technology. Mr. Hanna has 15 years of experience in developing advanced technology related to on-line collaboration, process management, process and system simulation and modeling, training and data gathering and thin client systems (web and client/servers).

Prior to joining Altruik in 2006, Michael served as a senior consultant for PA Consulting Group where he provided the design and programming of several database driven web and desktop applications used to enhance the usability of government and commercial simulations. From 2000 to 2004 Hanna worked for Booz Allen Hamilton where he conducted a series of modifications of commercial gaming applications for military simulation. He also created and maintained the world’s only JCATS Beowulf installation.

Mr. Hanna also held senior positions at CareRehab Inc., C&K Engineering Inc. and Kform Inc.

At an early age, Hanna was recruited by elite government agencies ranging from DARPA to the NSA for his knowledge in a myriad of areas of information technology, artificial intelligence and biological analysis. Most notable of Michael’s recent projects is the creation of a fully interactive Virtual Prototyping environment for advanced war fighter technologies.

Anita Brearton, CMO

Anita J. Brearton is the CMO for Altruik, Inc., where she is responsible for company and product positioning aas well as all marketing programs.

As a seasoned marketing executive with more than 29 years working in high technology, both in the United States and throughout the Asia Pacific, Ms. Brearton has served in senior marketing management roles with both early-stage and industry-leading technology companies. Anita served as vice president of corporate marketing at Sycamore Networks, where she took the company from its infancy through its IPO to become a market leader in the Intelligent Optical Networking market. Prior to Sycamore, Ms. Brearton held senior marketing management positions with Artel Video Systems, Cascade Communications and General DataComm.

In addition to her work with Altruik, Ms. Brearton is a member of Golden Seeds, an angel investment group that provides early stage and growth capital to women entrepreneurs across all sectors; sits on the advisory board of Connect2 Communications, a targeted technology public relations firm; and works with the Simmons Management School Entrepreneurship program as a coach to first time entrepreneurs. Brearton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College.
